Bear trap time. Particulars of Claim drafted weeks ago. Schedule of Loss the same. Signed on or after 6 April 2020 and the Statement of Truth will be out of date. The 113th CPR Update comes into force on 6 April 2020 (or at least this change does). The following needs to be added to the end of the traditional statement of truth:
“I understand that proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against anyone who makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth."

Witness statements
This is the new PD Rule:
PRACTICE DIRECTION 22 – STATEMENTS OF TRUTH
1) In paragraph 2.1, in the wording of the statement of truth, at the end insert “I understand that proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against anyone who makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth.”
